Regular gyms are boring and working out alone isn't as motivating as working out with a group of people that share the same goals and lifestyle that you do. When I heard about the camaraderie that's built at Crossfit, I wanted to give it a shot. I didn't know anything about Crossfit and I had always heard that it had an intimidating reputation, so I was a little nervous to try it out. I quickly learned that there was nothing to be intimidated by, and that my body was capable of much more.

I would say my first achievement was really just gaining the overall confidence that Crossfit has built up inside of me. I first needed to gain that confidence in order to be successful in anything I did after that. Crossfit has been a path all about me and if I couldn't trust my own body, I knew I would never achieve the success I was striving for. Right now, I'm working on overcoming my fear of the box jump. The box itself terrifies me, and I've never been a good jumper. But I have been increasing the height of my jump every work out. Now I just need to move over to the actual box instead of the aerobic step-up platform.

My favorite Jaguar memory was doing my birthday workout with Jim and Sarah. Since all of our birthdays fell within the same couple of weeks, we decided to do it all together instead of individually. I think that's when we became the three best friends that anyone could have!!!
