Where to begin with Chris! He came into Jaguar looking to switch things up and try something new and has absolutely killed it in the time he has been with us. Since day one he has whole heartedly thrown himself into the Crossfit world. He gives us his all in the WODs, his own accessory work and dialed into his nutrition and the progress he has made has been amazing. He is super eager to learn and improve himself and you’ll catch him in the gym before and after class almost everyday doing just that. Not only does he give it his all, but he does it with a huge smile on his face. Thank you Chris for bringing such positive energy and hard work to the gym!

  1. What brought you to CrossFit in the first place?

Before I joined Crossfit I was struggling to meet my fitness goals. I fell into the trap many people do of just using weight machines and treadmills. I struggled with my motivation because my workouts were so boring and I was doing them alone with no accountability. I knew something had to change, and finally after about a year of thinking about it I worked up the courage to sign up for the intro class. I was terrified because I didn’t know anyone that participated in Crossfit and had no idea what to expect. But I signed up for a membership that day and haven’t looked back.

  1. What is your favorite thing about CrossFit Jaguar?

It goes without saying, but the people of course! When I first started, I thought there was a good chance I would quit within the week because I was uncomfortable with the movements or intimidated by the other members. That couldn’t be further from the truth! From the first day I felt welcomed, encouraged, and a part of the group. I can honestly say that without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.

  1. What has been your favorite thing about the gym?

I love the variety in the workouts. There are always new skills to be learning or perfecting. It allows me to have more specific goals to work for other than “getting fit” and that’s much more motivating.

  1. What goals are you currently working on?

If you have talked to me the last few months you probably know I have been working on trying to get stronger. I’m fully focused on being the best Crossfit athlete I can be, and my goal is to be able to RX the weight on any workout. I love monitoring my progress and seeing my lifts slowly but surely increase week after week. But I’m not done yet!

  1. What is your favorite cheat meal?

You’ll usually catch me on my day off eating Chick-Fil-A. But my favorite meal is chicken alfredo or any sort of cheese and potatoes. Also, can’t forget the Diet Coke!

  1. What would you say to someone who is thinking about joining CrossFit Jaguar?

I tell everyone who will listen, literally anybody can do it. You can always modify movements and go at your own pace. Crossfit gives me a reason to wake up in the morning (other than work), and I could not imagine my life without it.
