Our Mission Statement
At CrossFit Jaguar our goal is to improve your life through exercise and nutrition. Client results and satisfaction are our top priority. We go beyond the workout by realizing we must educate and support our client in order to make this something that will work and that they can continue for the rest of their lives. It is a lifestyle; a way of life that will lead to increased energy and vitality, help reduce or eliminate age related problems and improve human performance in many aspects of their lives.
There are five aspects that contribute to one’s wellness: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social. In order to maximize our potential for personal achievement we must invest time and effort into each of these. Our daily demands often exceed our energies to do so.
Crossfit Jaguar is a company that promotes lifestyle management. We teach the importance of goal setting, time management and accountability and their direct correlation to success. Whether a novice to fitness or a seasoned athlete we promote physical challenge by selecting a destination and guiding you through your personal finish line.
Through this controlled adversity we empower people to reach an ultimate level of self awareness. We start this process by looking inward and suggest solutions on how to reach your destination. We see the results of this radiating throughout people’s entire lives. By setting higher levels of challenge we incite continued personal growth which stimulates all of the aforementioned aspects. This gives one the confidence to be a great parent, supportive partner, excel in your career, take your sports performance to the next level and be a happier and healthier person.
Jaguar Total Fitness opened in June of 2002 and became a CrossFit Affiliate in January 2009. We now use the name CrossFit Jaguar. The decision to affiliate was not a difficult one. Our training philosophy has always been unique in that we use a multidisciplinary approach to training. Our main goal for all our clients is to improve human performance in life and sport. Many training methods have their benefits, and combining the most effective training methods will provide the best results over exclusively using any one method. The CrossFit methodology enabled us to become even better at this. We have integrated sound nutritional protocols, metabolic conditioning, gymnastics and Olympic weightlifting into a seamless blend.
Our facility features barbells, dumbbells, medicine balls, climbing ropes, pull up bars, jump ropes and wide open spaces for moving your body the way it is meant to. We do not isolate muscles and we do not use machines. We work exclusively with compound movements and shorter high intensity cardiovascular sessions. Why? Because it’s radically more effective and our clients achieve their goals. We strive to educate, coach and support each and every client to maximize their full potential. CrossFit training, adaptable and scalable allows us to so this along with developing mental toughness, will power and appreciation of the self.
About Paula Jager
Paula has been in the fitness industry for 19 years both personally and professionally. Fitness transformed her life many years ago and she has never looked back. Originally competing in bodybuilding she quickly switched over to the athletic arena. She wanted a more balanced approach to fitness including the conditioning she received through running obstacle courses. It reminded her of real life because there are always obstacles to overcome. She believes the only things that hold us back from achieving our goals are self imposed limitations.
She maintains the key to continued growth in any endeavor is knowledge and an open mind. Her horizons continue to expand by staying on top of the ever changing fitness industry. Most recently continued CrossFit certifications and ongoing research have propelled her to the next level by providing more knowledge and better tools to achieve even greater results in her client’s lives as well as her own.
